For at least a year now there’s been a trucker (perhaps truckers) that’s been parking in the median lane in front of my house. S/he not only prevents me from making safe legal turns into my driveway, but also three other driveways are also blocked.
The second time it happened, I attempted to go around the truck to enter my driveway and was nearly hit by on-coming traffic. I called the local police department. I was told that there was nothing that could be done. My response was: well, does a serious accident or death have to occur?
For at least a year I would just call the LADOT Parking Violations phone number (818-752-5100). One time the authorities made it in time to give the trucker a warning.
I felt that after numerous calls a record would accumulate on the activity in this area. I don’t know if this has occurred. There’s a truck outside right now. In next post I will give relevant information.
